A 50-year-old man was going to take a leak when he accidentally fired the gun in his waist last Saturday.
According to ABS-CBN, the man from Ilocos Sur first denied the accident, claiming that someone had actually shot him.
Inspector Christopher Bueno confirmed that after investigations, it was determined that the gun gave off while the victim was urinating.
The man is now facing charges of illegal possession of firearms, after the fact that his member could no longer be saved and had to be removed.
The victim and his family could not be reached for comments.
