Men claiming to be Kris’ husband, Mocha’s ex-bf file COCs

A number of nuisance candidate were early birds during the first day of filing of certificates of candidacy (COCs) at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) offices.

One of them was 57-year-old Daniel Magtira who went to Comelec to file his candidacy for a senatorial position.

Magtira, who claimed to be Kris Aquino’s ex-husband, appealed to Comelec to give him a chance to run after he got disqualified during the 2016 elections.

He also said that supporting Filipino rock music will be his priority if he secures a seat in the Senate.

“‘Yung Pinoy Rock, for business [‘yun]. Vocalist kasi ako ng Bad Face rock band. Band leader si Rey Santos,” he said.

He also professed his undying love for his “ex-wife”. “May iba na ‘yata siya [na asawa] eh. Kris, kung nanonood ka, iniibig pa rin kita,” he added.

Similarly, another man, Angon Tuana, from San Juan City, also went to Comelec Headquarters in Intramuros, Manila to file his COC to run for senator. He claimed that he was urged by President Rodrigo Duterte.

Tuana, who also said that he is former PCOO Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson’s ex-boyfriend, said that part of his political plans is to look for solutions to lower diesel prices.

“Nananawagan ako sa Shell, sa Petron, sa Caltex, maski dalawang piso, tatlong piso, isang piso; alam kong piso-piso lang yan,” Inquirer.net quoted Tuana as saying.

“‘Yun ang order ni President Duterte sa’kin, yung commander in chief namin. At saka si Mocha na dati kong girlfriend,” he added.

He also wants to lower the prices of rice and electricity.

Tuana said that he volunteered to be part of Pope John Paul II’s security team when he visited the country during the time of then-president Fidel V. Ramos.

“Security volunteer ako nung World Youth Day. Si President Ramos ang nagpadala sakin doon. Tinawagan ako ni President Ramos na i-secure ko si John Paul II,” he said.
