In a guesting in PEP Live, JM De Guzman said that Imperial is single, implying that her relationship with fellow actor Paul Salas has come to an end.
However, the actor later clarified that his statement was only a joke and that Imperial and Salas are still together. De Guzman said it was an inside joke between him and Imperial.
Imperial previously shared with the actor a problem in her relationship with Salas.

“Nag-relate siya sa akin minsan sa taping, na parang mayroon silang pinagdadaanan, shinare niya lang. Kasi minsan, nag-uusap din kami ng mga personal and na-share niya yun, na parang nag-away yata sila, [cool off] sila.”
De Guzman, however, clarified that the two were able to solve the issue are still together.
“Totoo yun pero naayos. Nangyayari naman yun talaga,” he said.
Meanwhile, De Guzman said working with Imperial in ABS-CBN show Araw Gabi has been going good.
“Masaya kasi siya ngayon. Masaya katrabaho, masaya maka-bond,” De Guzman said of Imperial.
