Kin of missing OFW in Saudi to meet with her employer

The son and brother of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who has been missing in Saudi for more than a year will meet with her employer in Saudi Arabia.

OFW Nilda Bongar’s son Dan Mark said they will converse with the OFW’s employer to have clarity on what happened before his mother disappeared.

“Nais naming malaman kung anong nangyari sa nanay namin at gusto naming makausap ang kanyang employer at ang mga taong involved,” Dan Mark told GMA News.

Before the meeting with the employer, Dan Mark and Bongar’s brother met with Labor Attache Nasser Mustafa and OWWA Welfare Officer Yolanda Penaranda.

Meanwhile, the OFW’s recruitment agency has vowed to assist the two during their stay in Saudi.

“We will help the family and the Consulate, we will help to find the mother and we will talk to the employer to meet the family of Nilda,” a representative from the agency said.

Earlier, Bongar’s employer told Saudi Police that the missing OFW ran away in September 2016.

The employer, Ashraf Abdullah Ahmed Dakman, also met with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration to surrender Bongar’s personal belongings and passport.
