Filipino singer Matty Juniosa secured a golden buzzer on Britain’s Got Talent after delivering a standout performance of Prince’s “Purple Rain.”
His audition drew a standing ovation from both the audience and judges, with Simon Cowell calling it one of the biggest reactions seen on the show.
Fellow judges also praised Juniosa’s talent and stage presence, highlighting his passion and ability to connect with the crowd.
The golden buzzer, awarded once per judge during auditions, automatically advances a contestant to the semifinals.
Juniosa, 27, has been living in Glasgow, Scotland, where he works part-time while pursuing his dream of becoming a full-time musician.
He said the performance marks a turning point in his journey, after previously joining a singing competition in the Philippines.
