After being suspended in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s Terminal 4 reopened for domestic flights on Monday, March 28.
Three major domestic carriers, Cebu Pacific’s CebGo, AirAsia Philippines and AirSWIFT Airlines, has resumed their operations at NAIA Terminal 4, according to Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) general manager Ed Monreal,
Earlier, the three carriers’ operations were moved to Terminal 3 in June 2020 after the Department of Transportation granted them permission to perform specialized flights to ferry passengers to provinces and to pick up international visitors stranded in various locations back to Manila.

The MIAA hopes that the reopening of Terminal 4 would restore the terminal’s pre-pandemic capacity of 15,000 daily average passengers.
Monreal encouraged passengers to follow the health protocols set by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases and local government units.
