Filipinos in Abu Dhabi and the UAE will soon enjoy the best hits from the Philippines’ sensational new-gen diva, Gigi de Lana who is all set to perform together with her band, the Gigi Vibes, at the capital’s National Theatre – making them the first-ever Filipino performer to grace the Abu Dhabi stage this 2022!
Themed “Domination”, this will be Gigi de Lana’s first major concert this year in front of a live audience together with band mates Jake Manalo, Jon Cruz, Romeo Marquez, and their new guitarist Julius set to take place this March 18 at the National Theatre in Abu Dhabi.
In an interview with The Filipino Times, Gigi stated that this also marks the first time that she will be performing together with her band, Gigi Vibes, after her successful participation in the jam-packed 1MX concert in Dubai last year.
“This time, kasama na po yung Gigi Vibes sa Middle East so I’m really, really excited. Sobrang saya po ng puso ko na kasama ko na sila ngayon!” said Gigi.
The band hopes to bring out their best tunes and hits as they perform in front of a live audience in Abu Dhabi, who they treat as part of their family at Gigi Vibes.
“Yung mga fans, family na rin yan. Di namin sila tinatawag as fans parang ano sila as ‘Gigi Vibes’ kasi yung ‘Gigi Vibes’ hindi lang naman kami, lahat ng nanonood, lahat ng sumusuport, part sila noon,” said Jake.
He added that they have prepared to bring in the good vibes for overseas Filipinos to sing their hearts out with their popular covers, as well as new singles.
“First time na lalabas ang Gigi Vibes sa harap ng live audience. Prepared kami na ibibigay namin yung best namin para mas lalong sumaya yung mga OFW natin, mga kababayan natin diyan,” said Jake.
Aaron Domingo of ABS-CBN’s Corporate Communications division underscored that Gigi has a unique way of connecting with her audience through her engaging ‘hugot’ stories that warms the hearts of her listeners and viewers online.
“Gigi is a very good storyteller, talagang maraming nakakarelate sa kanya. Iba yung hugot ni Gigi and yung dynamics nung grupo, ng Gigi Vibes, kitang kita mo e, ang ganda ng chemistry kaya ang daming nakakarelate,” said Aaron.
The two-hour full live band concert starts at 7:00 pm at the National Theatre of Abu Dhabi this March 18. Doors open 4:00 pm.
