Philippine Ambassador to the UAE, H.E. Hjayceelyn Quintana recently visited the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre where almost 200 Filipino nurses and frontliners are actively helping the UAE’s volunteers for the COVID-19 vaccine trials.
Amb. Quintana checked each process of the volunteer site where she personally spoke with several Filipino frontliners who are manning different stages of each volunteer’s journey before they get vaccinated.
“Amb. Quintana conveys the gratitude and pride of PH Government and Filipino people on the Filipino medical professionals. Mabuhay Filipino Vaccine Frontliners in UAE!” said the video posted in the PH Embassy in UAE’s official Facebook page.

The ambassador met with Dr. Waleed Zaher, Chief Research Officer for Group 42, who gave her a run-through of the process that each volunteer experiences from the registration process, until the actual vaccination.
Amb. Quintana also gained insights as to how the Philippines can learn from the UAE’s systematic COVID-19 vaccine trials, ahead of the upcoming trials to take place in the country this coming October 2020.
