Vice Ganda expresses gratitude to Japanese citizen who paid for his studies

Kapamilya comedian Vice Ganda left a heartwarming message to a Japanese man who had sponsored him when he was younger.

During the Holy Week Special of ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime”, Vice Ganda talked about the importance of helping each other while sharing that he was able to attain his current status because of the people who reached out to him in the past.

It was at this part when Vice Ganda talked about a certain Japanese national who helped him by paying for his studies when he was younger.

He said that his Japanese sponsor was the one who paid for his educational expenses starting from his grade school years until he reached college.

May isang Hapon na nagpa-aral sa akin mula elementary hanggang college,” he said.

Vice Ganda said he was supposed to meet the Japanese national some time ago. However, a typhoon hit the country and they never got the chance to see him.

He added that he wanted the Japanese national to know how thankful he is because the child that he used to help is now one of the biggest celebrities in the Philippines.

The comedian said that because of the financial aid he was able to get from the Japanese man, he was able to become successful in life and he will forever be grateful for that.

Kasi kailangan natin yun…” Vice Ganda said.

Vice Ganda said he is also willing to help and return the favor to the Japanese national in case they meet in the future.

It was back in 2015 when Vice Ganda first revealed that his expenses in school were shouldered by a Japanese man he has never met.

From grade 3 hanggang second year college, pinag-aral niya ako.
