OFW’s decomposing body returns to PH

The family of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) is crying foul over the month-long wait and mishandling of their loved one’s remains.

Teresa Quedding, 38, died of a heart attack in Kuwait last June 22. The recruitment agency promised the family that Quedding’s remains will be safely brought back home to the Philippines. What shocked the family was that the body was already decomposing when it arrived in the country on July 14.

Ernesto, Teresa’s husband, appealed to authorities to further investigate the death of his wife as choke marks were visible on Teresa’s body.

Horas Human Recruitment Agency said they are ready to provide assistance to the family in cooperation with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
