Dubai deploys 960 emergency responders, rescue units for Eid Al Adha holidays

Dubai authorities have activated a comprehensive emergency response plan for the Eid Al Adha holidays, deploying hundreds of paramedics and specialized rescue units across the emirate as crowds and travel activity are expected to surge during the festive period.

According to Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, the operational plan aims to strengthen emergency preparedness and ensure rapid response to incidents across residential, tourist, and entertainment areas while maintaining round-the-clock ambulance coverage for residents and visitors.

Mishal Abdul Karim Julfar said operational readiness levels have been raised throughout the holiday period.

Julfar said ambulance teams have been strategically positioned across key areas including public event venues, beaches, parks, shopping centers, airports, and Eid prayer grounds.

A total of 960 qualified emergency personnel and field supervisors have been assigned across 160 ambulance points covering different parts of Dubai.

The operation is supported by a fleet that includes ambulances, rapid response units, bicycles, marine rescue boats, and air ambulance services operated in coordination with the air wing center of Dubai Police.

Authorities said specialized ambulance units and field support vehicles remain fully prepared to respond to a wide range of emergencies under a flexible operational system built on continuous coordination between field teams and control rooms.

Sixteen ambulance units have also been deployed across terminals at Dubai International Airport to support travelers and respond to emergencies amid the expected spike in holiday travel.

Julfar urged motorists to immediately give way to emergency vehicles, emphasizing that fast response times play a critical role in saving lives and minimizing medical complications.

He also called on parents to closely supervise children at beaches, swimming pools, and crowded public areas during the Eid holiday period.
