Dubai to surpass other cities in technology and services by 10 years

The Dubai government jumpstarted its initiative to further boost its services and technology that will allow it to overtake other cities by 10 years.

The initiative dubbed as ‘10X 2.0’   was launched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, during World Government Summit held in the city. He was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and other top officials.

The Dubai Future Foundation supervises the initiative is working with other government agencies to ensure the execution of 26 futuristic projects that will benefit the well-being of the residents.

The initiative will apply technological innovations and best practices that will further level up facilities and services in the city such as Digital Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Dubai Police’s ‘Police Without Members’, Dubai Municipality’s ‘Westenisers’, Dubai Smart Office’s ‘Smart City University’, Dubai Land Department’s ‘Self-processed property transactions’, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s ‘Digital Silk Road’ and Dubai Culture’s ‘Dubai Art Bank’.

Other projects include Dubai Government Media Office’s ‘Dubai Stadium X’, Dubai’s Tourism and Commerce Marketing Department’s ‘Tourism 2.0’, Knowledge and Human Development Authority’s ‘Hitch Learner’ project, and Dubai Sports Council’s ‘Dubai Sports Portal’.

During the visit of the Crown Prince of Dubai to the Dubai 10X platform at the World Governments Summit, which took place in Dubai from 11 to 13 February, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan also stressed that the UAE government always prioritizes the happiness of the country’s citizens, residents, and guests in all its projects and services, the Dubai Media Office reported.
