Presidential plane flies wounded soldiers to Manila

Nine wounded soldiers were transferred from Cagayan de Oro military hospital to Manila using the presidential plane on Tuesday night.

President Rodrigo Duterte lent the F-28 presidential jet to the wounded soldiers, who needed to be evacuated to Metro Manila for treatment.

Duterte visited the Camp Edilberto Evangelista Station Hospital to check on the wounded soldiers.

The wounded soldiers will also receive P100,000, a gun, and a cellular phone from the president.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines is grateful to the president for turning the presidential plane into an ambulance for soldiers.

Duterte had promised to convert the presidential plane into an air ambulance during his election campaign.
