Vice Consul Von Ryan Pangwi, who himself passed the licensure exam for teachers in 2008 before he became a Vice Consul, stressed the importance of teachers as the ‘ambassadors’ of the Philippines to each student that they educate. “Whether nag tuturo kayo sa mga Philippine schools or assistant teacher kayo sa mga international schools dito, one way or another, kayo ang mukha ng Filipino sa inyong mga estudyante. Teaching of course is also an art, it’s not just a science. Since you’re here in the foreign country, you have a responsibility to make our country proud. Further improve yourselves and make your country proud,” said Pangwi
Jerwin Capuyan topped the list of examinees this year with 84.80%. Here’s the complete list of the top 10.
The Special Licensure Exam for teachers was held a few months back during the Eid holidays. The examinations are held every year during the same period of time to ensure that majority of the exam takers will be on a holiday to enable them to take the exams.
