Foreign Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. on Sunday said Singapore is proving 3,000 coronavirus test kits to the Philippines.
“Singapore is DONATING 3,000 COVID test kits. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Memoing the President about this right now,” Locsin said on Twitter.

Aside from the kits, Singapore will also provide one thermal cycler or PCR machine, which is used for scientific research and diagnostic medicine.
As of Sunday, coronavirus or COVID-19 cases in the Philippines rose to 380 with 25 deaths, Health officials said.

Amid the rising cases of infections, the Philippine government said it can not perform mass testing due to insufficient kits.
China has recently donated 100,000 test kits and other supplies, while the United States pledged Php139 million or $2.7 million to the Philippines to support its COVID-19 response operations.
