The Philippine Embassy in the UAE and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office – Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (POLO-OWWA) in Abu Dhabi have stationed several sanitation areas and thermal checkpoints at their entrances as seen on the first day of their implementation on preventive measures against diseases within their premises.
Prior to their entry, all embassy and POLO-OWWA staff and visitors will be subject to a thermal scanning to ensure that their temperature doesn’t go above 37C.
Those with temperatures higher than 37C will be advised to return to the Embassy at a later date and will be advised to consult with a physician.
According the statement released by the Embassy earlier, all clients will be requested to apply hand sanitizers provided at the reception area before they proceed to Embassy transaction areas/counters. Hand sanitizers are strategically placed all around the premises to help ensure cleanliness and safety among Filipinos and embassy staff members.
Hand sanitizers have been placed at several service counters and windows as well.
Filipinos are advised to use sanitizers regularly within the premises as they transact at various counters within the premises, including the passport section, the consular section, as well as the POLO-OWWA area, where they can get legal advice.
All Filipinos dutifully followed the embassy’s advice in their own efforts to help prevent the risk of getting sick.
The embassy furthered that Filipinos should follow the UAE government’s advise to avoid large gatherings and crowds, take necessary preventive measures on their own, and to monitor advisories released by the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure their safety.
