Coronavirus spreads to Greece, Switzerland, Brazil

More countries reported their first case of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Wednesday.
Greece confirmed its first case of COVID-19, a 38-year-old woman from Thessaloniki who recently traveled in Northern Italy.
Greek authorities already shut down public places to prevent the spread of the virus.

Temporary travel bans were also imposed on areas severely affected by the epidemic.
Switzerland announced that a 70-year-old man contracted the disease while traveling in Milan last February 15.
The Federal Office of Public Health said the patient remains isolated in a clinic in Lugano, canton Ticino, SwissInfo reported.
FOPH director Pascal Strupler said they already placed those who have contact with the patient under 14-day quarantine.

Switzerland already tested 300 suspected cases of COVID-19 as of February 26.
Brazil has also confirmed Latin America’s first case of the virus, as authorities flagged a 61-year-old from Sao Paulo who recently visited Italy from February 9 to 21.
Reports from Reuters state that the man tested positive to a real time PCR test conducted by Albert Einstein Hospital.
