Abu Dhabi has completed its siren tests for its Nuclear Power plant early Wednesday.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the The Abu Dhabi Media Office advised residents of a siren test that was conducted around Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant in the Al Dhafra region.

“A siren test will be conducted around the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant in the Al Dhafra region. This may lead to some relatively strong noise which may be heard by those in the vicinity,’ the announcement said.
The test ran for 30 seconds to test the performance of the sirens. The UAE will become the first country in the Arab region to start a peaceful nuclear energy plant to meet energy needs.
“This test is essential to test the readiness of the 13 sirens in that area, as part of the preparation for the start-up of operations of the first unit of the Barakah plant. The UAE will become the first country in the Arab Region as a start-up nuclear energy plant,” the tweet said.
