PH Embassy in New Zealand advises Filipinos on smoke from Australia's bushfires

The Philippine Embassy in New Zealand has warned Filipinos about the smoke plumes from the Australian bushfires.

According to an advisory posted yesterday, the embassy said the smoke has reached Auckland causing the skies to turn yellow.
“Filipinos driving in the North Island, particularly in the Auckland region, are advised to keep focused and to not be distracted by the occurrence when driving,” the statement read.
The embassy also advised Filipinos, especially those with respiratory conditions such as asthma, to stay indoors as the particulates could trigger asthmatic episodes.
Should any Filipino need assistance, they are advised to get in touch with the Embassy through their email: [email protected].nz.
