Abu Dhabi police remind beach goers to follow safety regulations

The Abu Dhabi police warns beach-goers avoid swimming in dangerous areas as they monitor weather conditions and follow beach regulations.

The police said beach-goers should immediately report emergency situations.

“Beach-goers should follow instructions to avoid drowning incidents, swimmers should avoid areas in the sea with high waves and strong currents,” said Director of Emergency and Public Safety Brigadier Zayed Mohammed Al Hajri as per a report from Khaleej Times.

Authorities warned that beach-goers should follow no swim zones to avoid drowning incidents.

“Sometimes lifeguards warn beach-goers not to swim because of certain weather conditions or safety issues, but people do not pay heed and venture into the sea,” officials added.

In addition, the Abu Dhabi police affirms that they are open to respond to emergencies 24/7.

Abu Dhabi Police’s ‘Safe Summer’ campaign also warns not only beach-goers but also fishermen, swimmers and surfers.

The Coast Guard also asked jet ski owners to maintain them in order to ensure public safety.
