PMA Alumni Association declares Erwin Tulfo persona non grata

The rift between radio personality Erwin Tulfo and Philippine Military Academy Alumini Association Incorporated (PMAAAI) is far from over.

The alumni association of Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rolando Bautista has declared Tulfo as ‘persona non grata’.

Tulfo berated Bautista on his radio show ‘Tutok Tulfo’ few weeks ago for refusing to take his call for an interview. Tulfo has repeatedly apologize for his outbursts but Bautista set certain conditions before accepting Tulfo’s apology.

“The PMAAI takes offense and strongly condemns the boorish behavior and derogatory remarks of Mr. Tulfo that spilled over the ranks of active and retired Officers, Men and Women Uniformed Personnel thereby assaulting the very core of service to country,” the statement said.

The PMAAI also said that Bautista is worthy of emulation and Tulfo’s action committed a great ‘injustice’ to a member of the alumni association.

The declaration means that Tulfo’s presence to any PMAAI activities will not be appreciated, the media personality loses all privileges given to responsible journalists and media practitioners.
