DSWD chief sets conditions for accepting Erwin Tulfo’s apology

Social Welfare Secretary Rolando Bautista finally broke his silence following an apology from radio commentator Erwin Tulfo who had berated him on air for allegedly ignoring his call during the show “Tutok Tulfo.”

Bautista, former army chief, said he is thankful for support from his colleagues in the military and other individuals.

“Taos-puso po akong nagpapasalamat sa bawat isa po sa inyo na nagpa-abot at nagpakita ng simpatya at pagkabahala para sa akin dahil sa matinding pagsubok at paninirang-puri at insulto sa aking pagkatao ng programang Tutok Tulfo,” Bautista said in his statement.

While being open in accepting Tulfo’s apology, Bautista said Tulfo needs to meet certain conditions.

This includes a published apology in leading news papers, social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and YouTube. Radio stations like DZBB, DZMN, Radio Singko News FM, DZRH and DZRB.

Tulfo also needs to donate to at least 19 organizations identified by Bautista. The donation should not be less than 300,000 pesos each.
