Under the directives of Dubai Police Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, a female security inspector in Dubai was promoted for her heroic act of coming to the aid of an expat to help save an infant’s life.
Sergeant Hanan Hussein Muhammad rushed to help an Indian lady and saved the life of a prematurely born 6-month baby as she was doing her duties as a security inspector. Major General Al Marri honored Sergeant Hanan and the paramedic Pinichen Shako at the Dubai Police Headquarters as an appreciation for their immediate response.
Al Marri also stressed that such actions reflect the honorable picture of Dubai Police in its institutional values, human and societal role, professionalism and quick response to such emergencies.
This incident happened last April when the Indian passenger was in a critical situation and had to deliver the baby at the airport. The delivery of the baby made the situation even worse as the baby wasn’t breathing well.
Hanan did a pulmonary resuscitation by pressing multiple times on specific places of the baby’s body – a brave act that saved the baby’s life. The situation was handled properly until the mother and her baby were moved to the hospital.
