Overseas jobs available at nationwide Independence Day job jair in PH

Some 70,000 local and overseas employment opportunities are available to jobseekers at the 22 job fair sites across the country on June 12, the labor department said.

The Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) job and business fairs was organized in commemoration of the 121st anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence.

In a report from the Bureau of Local Employment (BLES), a total of 560 participating employers (461 local, 99 overseas) will be bringing with them 68,893 available local and overseas jobs.

The local jobs with the most number of vacancies are for the positions of production machine operators, production worker/factory workers, customer service representatives, call center agents, sewers, sales clerks, cashiers, delivery crew, service crew, and marketing officers.

For those seeking overseas employment, the top vacancies are for cleaners, professional nurses (general), waiters/waitresses, service crew, company drivers, registered midwife, staff nurse, English teachers (Japan), janitress, barista,  technicians (general), and nursing aides.

The job orders are for Germany, Japan, Bahrain, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Labor Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III advised jobseekers to visit any of the job and business fairs slated in their areas to facilitate their search for employment, as numerous employers are gathered in just one venue.

Bello advised jobseekers to be ready with the following application requirements: resume or curriculum vitae (bring extra copies for multiple job applications); 2 x 2 ID pictures; certificate of employment for those formerly employed; diploma and/or transcript of records; and authenticated birth certificate.

The 2019 Independence Day job and business fairs will be held in the following venues:

Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) – Sky Zone, Porta Vaga Mall, Upper Session Road, Baguio City

Region 1 – Nepo Mall, Dagupan City; Candon Civic Center, Candon City, Ilocos Sur; Union Christian College, San Fernando City, La Union

Region 2 – People’s Gymnasium, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan

Region 3 – Ayala Malls, Harbor Point, Subic Freeport Zone, Zambales

Region 4A – Pavilion Mall, Biñan City, Laguna; Liwasang Aguinaldo, Kawit, Cavite

MIMAROPA – San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Odiongan, Romblon

Region 5 – Robinsons Place, Naga City Region 6 – 888 Premier Mall, Bacolod City

Region 7 – Cebu City Sports Complex/Abellana National School; Lapu-Lapu City; Lamberto L. Macias Sports and Cultural Center, Dumaguete City
