The 41-year-old Filipino man said he was befriended by a 19-year-old Arab student who promised to help him secure a job if he would come with him to his apartment in Al Qusais.

On May 14, the student said he was able to arrange a job interview for the Pinoy and that the arab would accompany him. However, he first needs to go home to change clothes as he was only wearing shorts, causing the Pinoy to come with him to the Arab’s apartment.

While waiting in the student’s living room, the Pinoy was surprised that the arab came out of his bedroom half-naked. He then forced the Pinoy to remove his clothes.

While the commotion was happening, the student’s roommate arrived and the two connived to subdue the Filipino. Eventually, the roommate stepped out only to return with knife.

The Filipino managed to escape by jumping off the balcony, but sustained fractures in his legs, arms, and back.

The building’s Indian watchman saw the Filipino man and immediately called an ambulance and the Police.

Aside from these, the suspects were also asked to pay Dh21,000 to the victim as compensation.
