The foggy season is here. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) warned motorists on Tuesday, reminding drivers not to text/call and drive. This after road visibility was reduced to a mere 500 meters in the early morning. Some coastal and offshore areas have visibility of up to 1,000 meters only. Leading major highways leading out of Abu Dhabi and heading to Dubai, Al Ghuwaifat and Al Ain are seen to be greatly affected.

The thick blanket of fog was witnessed to have peaked from 4AM to 6AM and is expected to continue in the next few days.
The NCM also adds that minimum temperature will be 16-21 degrees Celsius in coastal and internal areas, with a minimal 10-14 degrees Celsius in and around mountainous regions.

Humidity is expected to be at 95 percent across internal and coastal areas until Thursday, with temperatures rising at 31 degrees Celsius at midday.

Authorities firmly reminded residents and motorists not to use the phone while driving or take videos of their environment while on the road everyone’s safety.
