Kin desperate over mysterious disappearance of OFW

The family of a missing Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Saudi Arabia is desperately searching for their kin who has been missing since November 20.

The Filipino Times received an email from a certain Chris Araza to help spread information about his missing brother, 48-year-old Carlo R. Flores (photo above).

His brother has spent 27 years in Saudi Arabia as a heavy equipment maintenance personnel for Al-Suwaidi Equipment & Transport Co. Ltd. and is set to come home to join his family this December.

Araza said that as per the OFW’s workmates, they witnessed three civilian men—one of them wearing a mask—forcibly dragging Flores out of his room.

“My family is devastated hearing this bad news from one of our only contact there from his work,” Araza wrote in his e-mail to TFT.

His family has not heard of any news since, despite filing a report to the Overseas Welfare and Workers Association (OWWA), The Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia or Carlo’s recruitment agency.
