Prince Harry, Meghan Markle reveal they’re expecting first child

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, revealed that they are expecting their first child about ten weeks after their historical royal wedding.

Daily Mail UK reported that Prince Harry and Meghan revealed the news to Queen Elizabeth II during Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle on Friday.

The same source reported that the Duchess of Sussex is in ‘good health’ and she has undergone a successful 12-week scan which suggested that she will give birth to the new royal baby in spring next year.

The royal couple made the first announcement about their baby when they touched down on Qantas flight to Sydney on October 15.

The couple is currently in Australia for their first major international tour ever since they got married on May 19 at St. George Chapel in Windsor Palace.

Queen Elizabeth II is also “delighted” about the news and has extended her regards to the expecting parents.

Prince Harry also appeared on ABC’s Australian Story for his first interview ever since the news broke out that his wife is pregnant. However, he did not disclose any specific details about Meghan’s pregnancy.

Once the child is born, he or she will be seventh in line to the throne behind Harry.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.

“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public,” Kensington Palace said in a statement.
