The Filipinos are once again in the limelight for their hospitality – this time towards Miss Earth USA Yashvi Aware.
In a Facebook post, Aware shared her experience while applying for a Philippine visa for the Miss Earth pageant in Manila.
“Earlier this week, I headed to the Philippine embassy to apply for a visa. I forgot something very important for my application but the embassy staff went out of their to help me so I could get everything processed in time for Miss Earth,” Aware said.
Aware also noted that she was not surprised by the embassy staffs’ kindness since the Filipinos she has met in the past has also shown her love.
“I’ve been to many embassies before, and they’re usually not so helpful with applications but I was not at all surprised by the kindness and love I received from the Filipinos I met. They even sent me off with blessings and well wishes for Miss Earth,” she said.
It is a common practice for international pageant representatives to visit different embassies to be able to travel to the host country of their respective pageants.
For Aware’s case, the Miss Earth coronation night in Manila will be on November 3.
