A girl who was trapped inside a vehicle in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi was rescued by the police on Monday, September 10.
The Abu Dhabi Police posted on Instagram that they have received a report of a lone girl in an SUV in Al Bandar, Yas Island. After which they dispatched patrols to retrieve the girl.
According to Major General Ali Khalfan, Director of the Central Operations Sector, parents should not leave them inside their vehicles as it could endanger or kill the children.
“Leaving the children alone in the vehicle is very dangerous and may lead to their death due to neglect. Parents may fail to notice the behavior of their children. Kids have the tendency to fall asleep and spending a long time in a closed vehicle with shortage of oxygen and the high temperature could be very dangerous,” he said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the father of the girl expressed his gratitude to the Abu Dhabi Police for the rapid response and praised their efforts to save his daughter.
