Sharjah announces gift to expat, Emirati workers for Eid Al Adha

All expatriate and Emirati employees of Sharjah Police will receive health insurance as per the directives of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, announced that the move was approved in celebration of Eid Al Adha.

Al Shamsi extended his gratitude towards Sheikh Sultan for the generous gift to the employees of the Police force.

Free plane tickets to expats who want to spend Eid Al Adha with family

Meanwhile, The civil defence department of Umm Al Quwain (UAQ) on Tuesday, August 14, announced that it will be giving free plane tickets to expatriate workers in the emirate in celebration of Eid Al Adha.

Lieutenant Dr Salem Hamad bin Hamda, director of Umm Al Quwain’s civil defence department, said that aside from the plane ticket, the Umm Al Quwain government will also provide transportation allowance as well as gifts to the expats’ wives and children.

The move is a part of the “Spend Eid With Your Children” program which seeks to highlight the importance of spending the holiday season with the family.

Hamda underscored the importance of keeping workers in the UAE happy, motivated, and productive saying that allowing expats to spend the holiday season with their families is also beneficial for the UAE in the long run as expats will be more motivated in their respective jobs.
