Dubai is at the forefront of innovative technologies and its police force is no exception, presenting an impressive display of new technologies that will take crime-fighting in the emirate to another level.
The Dubai Police unveiled its latest innovations, including a smart bike, patrol car, a Hovercraft, and an autonomous policeman, on the first day of Gitex Tech Week on Sunday, October 8.
The new “Hoversurf”, a cross between an electric drone and a bike, can be used to respond to emergency situations and avoid heavy traffic.
The flying bike, developed in partnership with a Russian company, can fly at a height of 5 meters if mounted by a policeman and can carry a weight of 300 kg along with its commander, at a speed of 70 km/h.
Dubai Police also unveiled a new smart bike with 360-degree cameras, developed in partnership with Japanese company, Mikasa.
