The 16-year-old motorcycle racer started his career at an early age and brought home numerous recognitions to the country.
Torres was the country’s representative to the Asia Road Racing Championship but a freak accident happened mid-race, severely injuring him. He was immediately brought to Thailand Medical Centre for immediate treatment and was transferred to a bigger hospital and was put to the intensive care unit. Torres however succumbed to his injuries on December 5.
He was laid to rest this week with some of the riding communities mourning his early and untimely passing.
“Napakabait na bata, Napakabait na anak. Ang bilis ng pangyayari,” Torres’ dad, Mitchelle Torres told GMA News.
