Manny Pacquiao plans on having next boxing fight by December

A few weeks after his victory against Argentine boxer Lucas Matthysse, Senator Manny Pacquiao revealed on Tuesday that he plans to have another boxing fight before the year ends.

Pacquiao told ABS-CBN News that his camp is thinking on having a second fight on December 2.

On July 15, Pacquiao scored a seventh round technical knockout win against Matthysse. With his win, Pacquiao took the WBA welterweight title and a personal career record of 60 wins and 7 losses, with 39 of his wins as knockouts.

Pacquiao also said that his heart and his health are now in stable condition after he admittedly underwent angiogram a week before his fight with Matthysse.

He previously revealed that doctors spotted possible heart complications, but assured that he is now “healthy”.

“Maganda rin na tiningnan ‘yung puso ko, [para malaman] kung sino talaga ang nasa puso ko at si Jinkee talaga,” he said in jest.

The athlete-politician also thanked President Rodrigo Duterte who watched his boxing fight with Matthysse live in Malaysia.
