Filipino Accountants in UAE gather for PICPA Dubai Leadership, induction ceremony

Filipino accounting professionals in the UAE gathered on June 20, 2026, as the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Dubai Chapter launched its Leadership Excellence, Awarding and Development (L.E.A.D.) Programme and inducted its new set of officers during a ceremony held at the Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel in Business Bay.

The event brought together volunteer leaders, partners, sponsors, and members of the Filipino professional community to celebrate leadership, volunteerism, and excellence in the accountancy profession.

Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Alfonso Ferdinand A. Ver extended his congratulations to the organization and recognized PICPA Dubai’s continued contributions to both the Filipino community and the accounting profession in the UAE.

In his opening remarks, PICPA Dubai Founder and Chairman Lyndon Magsino emphasized the importance of developing future leaders and fostering a culture of service within the organization. Meanwhile, Chapter President Maria Jaqueline Gonzales presented the chapter’s accomplishments and upcoming initiatives, highlighting programs and activities that have supported Filipino CPAs and finance professionals across the UAE.

A key highlight of the event was the introduction of the Leadership Excellence, Awarding and Development (L.E.A.D.) Programme, a new initiative aimed at strengthening the leadership capabilities of members.

The program will offer mentoring opportunities, leadership discussions, and structured learning activities designed to help participants grow professionally and contribute positively to their organizations and communities.

The ceremony also honored the outgoing officers for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 and formally inducted the newly elected officers for FY 2026-2027. The oath-taking underscored the chapter’s commitment to serving Filipino accounting professionals and advancing the profession in the UAE.

PICPA Dubai also provided updates on its scholarship initiatives, highlighting the progress of students supported by the organization as part of its ongoing commitment to education and community development.
