UAE condemns deadly Tacloban school shooting

The United Arab Emirates has condemned the deadly school shooting in Tacloban City and extended its condolences to the families of the victims, the Philippine government and the Filipino people.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the shooting incident at a school in Tacloban City, which resulted in deaths and injuries.

The ministry reiterated the UAE’s firm rejection of all forms of violence and extremism aimed at undermining security and stability.

It also expressed sympathy to the families of the victims and wished those injured a speedy recovery.

The statement came as Philippine authorities continue investigating the shooting at San Jose National High School, where two minor suspects allegedly opened fire inside the campus.

The attack left three students dead and several others injured, prompting renewed discussions on school security, youth violence and the possible influence of online content on minors.

The UAE is among the first foreign governments to issue an official statement following the incident.

The Department of Education, local officials and law enforcement agencies continue to provide assistance to affected families while authorities pursue the ongoing investigation.
