NCRPO arrests 17 in Caloocan over alleged illegal LPG refilling, rebranding

The NCRPO on Saturday arrested 17 individuals for alleged illegal refilling and rebranding of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanks along Sta. Quiteria Road.

The arrests followed a police raid on a company compound where the suspects were reportedly working. Authorities were armed with a search warrant during the operation.

Police conducted an inventory of seized items, which included equipment used for refilling and rebranding, empty LPG tanks, paint, and a tanker. A representative from a petroleum company was also present during the inspection.

Officials said those involved may face charges under Section 43 of Republic Act No. 11592.

The NCRPO warned that improper refilling and rebranding of LPG tanks pose serious fire risks and safety hazards if not compliant with government standards.

A representative of the raided firm declined to issue a statement.
