The Department of Migrant Workers assured jobseekers that all overseas job offers at the Labor Day job fair in Quezon City are legitimate.
Migrant Workers Undersecretary Dominique Tutay said the vacancies were provided by licensed recruitment and manning agencies, ensuring that applicants are protected from illegal schemes.
“Vacancies being offered by our licensed agencies are legitimate,” Tutay said, as she urged applicants to verify opportunities through official DMW platforms and avoid unverified online offers.
The job fair, held at Robinsons Galleria, drew at least 2,000 pre-registered applicants, along with hundreds of walk-in jobseekers.
A total of around 3,400 overseas job opportunities were offered by 12 licensed agencies across sectors such as engineering, construction, hospitality, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and seafaring.
Available positions are located in countries including the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and several parts of Europe, reflecting continued demand for Filipino workers abroad.
