Tulfo, Legarda lead senatorial race, Padilla jumps to 3rd place

Veteran broadcaster Raffy Tulfo and Antique Representative Loren Legarda are still leading the senatorial race in the latest Pulse Asia survey.

Tulfo scored a 50.4% rating while Legarda received 49.4% in the latest Pulse ASia survey.

Actor Robin Padilla was the one who obtained the biggest increase with 42.9%. Taguig Representative Alan Peter Cayetano with 42.3%, Sorsogon Governor Francis Escudero with 38.6%, and Senator Sherwin Gatchalian with 37% rounded the Top 7 in the senatorial race.

Other senatoriables who have a statistical chance at winning are Senator Miguel Zubiri with 37%, former Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar with 35.9%, former senator JV Ejercito with 34.3%, former Vice President Jejomar Binay with 32.5%, Senator Risa Hontiveros with 32.3%, and former senator Jinggoy Estrada with 32.3%.

Outside the winning circle were Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista with 26.6%, Senator Joel Villanueva with 26.5%, former Information and Communications Technology secretary Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan II with 22.4%, Senator Richard Gordon with 19.3%, former senator Antonio Trillanes IV with 19%, and former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque with 17.9%.

Presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos has maintained his lead with 56% in the last Pulse Asia survey for the presidential elections, a week before the May 9 polls.

Vice President Leni Robredo meanwhile is still a distant second at 23%. This is slightly lower compared to her March rating.

In a survey conducted last April 16 to 21, Senator Manny Pacquiao now ranks third with a 7% rating followed by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno who dropped from 8% to 4%.

Senator Ping Lacson remained at 2% followed by former presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella with 1% and Faisal Mangondato at 1%.
