About 1,264 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) will be employed in Jordan as the Middle Eastern country reopens its economy.
About 90 percent of them will be hired as household services workers (HSWs), a key official at the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO)-Jordan.

Labor Attaché Armin Evangel Peña said, “Of the number, 725 are new hires while balik-manggagawa (returning workers) are 539,”
There is a proposal to increase the salary of HSWs from the current US$400 (about PhP22,000) to US$600 (about PhP31,000), Peña added.
