Two leading UAE air carriers — Emirates and Etihad Airways — have been rated the world’s best airlines by the Australia-based aviation safety and product rating agency AirlineRatings.com.
The Dubai-based Emirates saw its rating improve to the fifth position in the latest rating.

“Emirates climbed to the fifth spot and has just introduced a premium economy class which is being hailed as one of the best in the industry,” AirlineRatings said.
Emirates is now operating in nearly 120 destinations, which is near to its pre-Covid level traffic, said Adel Al Redha, chief operating officer of Emirates airline at a recent virtual press briefing.
Emirates has seen demand for foreign travel climb up during Eid and in the summers particularly.

Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has been ranked at the 20th position in the list. The air carrier had recently added Vienna as its 54-th destination and was also the first airline to fully vaccinate its employees.
Those who head in the list are Qatar Airways followed by Air New Zealand, Singapore Airlines, Qantas, and Emirates.
