Ajman Police confiscate AED 30 million-worth of fake Louis Vuitton, Chanel, other counterfeit luxury items

At least 120,000 counterfeit luxury items estimated to have a street value of AED 39 million were seized in Ajman.

Ajman Police carried out several raids to confiscate fake luxury items such as leather products, clothes, accessories, watches, and sunglasses.

Authorities seized knock-off bags of Louis Vuitton, Prada, and other luxury items like Gucci, Boss, Chanel, Dior, Adidas, Rolex, and Versace from shops and sellers.

Brigadier-General Khaled Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director General of Police Operations, said the police launched the operation after receiving complaints from international companies about shops selling counterfeit items in the emirate.

Al Nuaimi added that the force has taken legal measures were taken against the owners of the stores.

According to the Federal Law No. (19) of 2016 on Combating Commercial Fraud, counterfeiting will earn violators a fine of Dh250,000 and a prison term of up to two years.
