The Philippine Embassy in the UAE highlighted the efforts shown by the representatives of the Filipino community in Abu Dhabi who have ushered and helped their fellow Filipinos in need.
The embassy acknowledged Albert Sabado and Abdullah Ebana of the Bayanihan Council in Abu Dhabi, the umbrella organization of Filipino groups in the capital, in a symbolic acknowledgement of their service as former and current Assistance To Nationals (ATN) directors, respectively.
Both certificates were given by Philippine Ambassador to the UAE, H.E. Amb. Hjayceelyn Quintana, in the presence of Consul Cynthia Pelayo, the Embassy’s current ATN head, Labor Attache Manuel Dimaano, and current Bayanihan Chairman, Reynante Abellanosa.
Sabado shared that the concept of bayanihan – where Filipinos help each other, is an intrinsic value of overseas Filipinos who never hestitate to help their kababayans to help ease their struggles.
Ebana shared that helping others without expecting anything in return is a gesture from the heart that keeps on giving, especially since the doors of ATN are always open for every Filipino here in the UAE.
To National section,” said Ebana.
