His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, arrived this afternoon in Al-Ula in Medina, Saudi Arabia, to attend the 41st session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Sheikh Mohammed was received by Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and a number of Saudi ministers and senior officials.
Earlier, the Kuwait Foreign Ministry has announced that Saudi Arabia has reopened its land and air borders with Qatar as of Monday evening, January 4 in the run up to the summit.
Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Ahmad Nasser Al Sabah on Kuwait TV said a declaration would be signed at the summit that will be attended by Qatar’s Ruler Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani along with other GCC leaders.
