Sharjah Police nab driver responsible for car crash at petrol station

Sharjah Police arrested a driver after the motorist crashed his vehicle at a petrol station in Sharjah.

CCTV footage shows that the petrol station had major damages, with Sharjah Police further reporting that several station workers had minor injuries.

Authorities received the report at the Sharjah Central Operations Room last October 13 at 11:45 pm at the Al Ittihad Road. The footage also showed that the driver escaped from the site of the accident.

Police officials immediately headed towards the crash site and and found out that the incident happened after the driver swerved from the middle lane to the right lane at a fast speed, that left the driver unable to control the vehicle.

The driver was already referred to the Public Prosecution Office to conduct investigations and face legal actions.

Sharjah Police reminds and urges motorists to adhere to the speed limits on the roads and to focus and pay full attention to the roads while driving.
