Philippines records 3,073 additional COVID-19 cases; total now at 307,288

The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday has reported an additional 3,073 COVID-19 cases. This brings the total tally to 307,288.

Most of the additional cases, 1,158 are from the National Capital Region.

The DOH said the 2,800 (91%) of the newly-announced cases occurred in the last 2 weeks.

The number of total active cases in the country stood at 49,242. Total recoveries reported are now at 252,665, while the death toll is 5,381, with 37 new fatalities.

Of the active cases, 86.4 percent are showing mild symptoms, 8.7 percent are asymptomatic, 1.5 percent are severe, and 3.4 percent are in critical condition.
