‘Pilipinas Game KNB?’ winner now a Dubai engineer

Remember “Pilipinas Game KNB?” That game show back home that helped a lot of people by getting their answers right has one winner now working here in Dubai as an engineer.

Engr. Arthur Lucero Mosca recalls he was in his last year of college at Batangas State University taking up Mechatronics Engineering when he joined the show which was then hosted by Kris Aquino. It was 2005.

“Ga-graduate na ako. Thesis year ko iyon. That time, nangangailangan ako ng pera kasi yung pang-tuition ko napunta muna sa gastos sa ospital ng mother ko,” Mosca tells The Filipino Times.

Mosca, who won Php1.05 million, said he could not have been happier because he was able to invest in a house and lot for his parents and siblings so that they wouldn’t have to rent anymore.

“Ang ginawa ko, since wala kaming bahay…rental ang, may nag-offer ng lupa…pinatayuan namin ng bahay,” Mosca, an electrical electronics engineer at Dubai Investments Park, said.

Mosca moved to Dubai last year after availing of an early retirement offer from the multinational company he was working in back home. His wife, Lea Cecilia, will be arriving early next year to join him for good.

Mosca said he was happy to see that there are many Filipinos in Dubai. “Sobrang nakakatulong sa adjustment,” he said.

Mosca had one word that day standing in front of Kris Aquino at Game KNB? – “star-struck.”

Game KNB? went on air from from October 1, 2001 to October 23, 2009.
