Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed hailed as sole Arab leader at Time’s 100 most influential people

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has recently been included at 2019’s Time 100 – the international magazine’s list for the most influential people in the globe.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed is the sole Arab leader from the Middle East in the list under the “Leaders” category. Stratfor MENA analyst Ryan Bohl described Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed as a long-term thinker: “The firm belief that the benefits outweigh the costs compels him onward.”

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi is joined by fellow world leaders like Pope Francis who visited the Middle East earlier this year, USA President Donald Trump, China President Xi Jinping, former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, Ethiopia Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, and more.

Meanwhile, Filipina Veteran Journalist Maria Ressa also made it in the list, under the “Icons” category. Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright writes that Ressa as a journalist who is “…committed to exposing corruption, documenting abuse and combating misinformation.”
