The Bayanihan Council in Abu Dhabi recently launched their Bayanihan Cup 2019 – Basketball League that will see 13 teams battle it out on the hard court. The opening ceremonies took place at Emirates Heritage Club in Abu Dhabi last March 1.
In attendance were Vice Consul Von Ryan Pangwi, Vice Consul Anna Guerra, members and players from the Philippine Embassy, as well as more than 100 players from different organizations in Abu Dhabi.
Participating teams include: Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi (AUH-PE), Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers – UAE Chapter (PICE-UAE), The Guardians Brotherhood Inc. The Original Falcon UAE Regional Chapter (TGBI-TO Falcon), United Goal Sports, ANNP, PWR52 Cycling and PWR52 4X4 Offroader, Carcanmadcarlan UAE, Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers in Abu Dhabi (IIEE-Abu Dhabi), Hermanos Basketball, Samahan ng mga OFW sa UAE (SOUAE Warriors), Boxers Basketball, Isabelino Ako, Institute of Electronics Engineers in the Philippines (IECEP-UAE) and Juancho’s.
The league is headed by Bayanihan Cup 2019 Chairman Ron Precilla, together with Bayanihan 2018-2020 Chairman Elmer Casao.
