LOOK: Cherry blossoms spotted in Cavite

Cherry blossom season in Japan is one of the most awaited times of the year for locals and tourists alike. Not only does it give a more vivid color to Japan’s landscape but it also shows the country’s rich culture.

No wonder thousands of Filipinos save and spend to be able to witness this the Cherry Blossom season.

However, not everyone is able to save for a few days of vacation in Japan.

Don’t worry, though. You don’t need to go far to see cherry blossoms. You can experience the Sakura season here in the Philippines!

The Balayong Tree, a native of Palawan, shows an uncanny resemblance to cherry blossom trees. The tree can be found at the De La Salle Medical Arts Center grounds in Cavite.
